What is the tie-breaker procedure for admissions to DU by appearing at CUET?

Students approaching the CUET examinations have been showcasing their determined skills to a vast extent. The appealing marks of the candidates have been flourishing rapidly and making the authorities go through a dilemma while choosing. Looking at this concern, the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University or DU, Yogesh Singh, stated that class 12th marks would be noted as the tie-breaking concept in case candidates grasp the same CUET score for the same seat during the particular admission year.

He added that the following university would give admissions to extra candidates to ensure maximum seats are filled through the first round of counselling. A statement that also grabbed their attention from him was that CUET would be held twice a year in the upcoming years. If there is a tie-in between the two students, the marks obtained by the candidates in the class 12th exams will be considered, and the best three class 12th subjects will be considered. If the three subject’s marks are almost identical, then the fourth subject will be noted.

Yogesh Singh also mentioned that no mandatory subject must be included in the best of three. Language is not an addition to the best of three or four calculations. Any of the three subjects with the highest score will be involved in the calculation process. Around 20% of extra candidates will get admission in general and OBC categories and the remaining 30% will be included in the SC/ST category.
